DR Gareth DunkerlEy - HEAD VETERINARIAN at Ponsonby Vet
Gareth is the head Veterinarian of Ponsonby Veterinary Centre. He is originally from Hawkes Bay and qualified from Massey University, Palmerston North in 1999. Gareth spent 7 years working in London in companion animal general and emergency practice before returning to Auckland to head the team at Ponsonby Veterinary Centre.
Gareth enjoys all aspects of small animal internal medicine and his involvement in emergency practice in London has given him a keen interest in this area of veterinary care. His other areas of interest are dentistry and imaging.
Gareth is a keen horseman. He spent many years pursuing his interest in eventing and hopes that one day he will find the time to jump back into the saddle. He also enjoys swimming, going to the gym and running.
DR kim telford - VETERINARIAN
Kim graduated from Massey University in 2012 and has since been working at St Lukes Veterinary Centre (formerly Unitec Veterinary Hospital) and Parkhill Vet Hospital. Her special intrests include feline medicine, preventative health care and dental prevention and treatmentShe is the proud owner of Fluke, a 12 year old heading dog and three ex-SPCA cats.In her spare time she enjoys walking Fluke, snowboarding, mountain biking, as well as various other outdoor activites.
Dr Clementine Barton - Head Veterinarian at Herne Bay Vet
Clementine joined Ponsonby and Herne Bay Vet in November 2016 and is our Head Veterinarian at the Herne Bay Vet. Clementine graduated from Otago and went on to Vet school at Massey graduating in 2008. Clementine spent several years in the UK in a small animal and equine practice and even spent some time in the Australian outback. Outside of work Clementine enjoys tennis, tramping, sailing, skiing and golf.
Dr Jenna Knight - Veterinarian
Jenna splits her time between Ponsonby Vet and Herne Bay Vet. She graduated from Massey University with distinction in 2013. In her spare time Jenna enjoys going on hikes all over New Zealand and taking her Griffon puppy Greta for adventure walks in dog friendly nature reserves.
